Apartment Review for Pinewood Estates - Albuquerque, NM

We thought the complex would be ok for the price, but we were wrong. We have lived here for around 8 months and have had many problems. When we first entered the apartment, we were surprised that it was very dirty. Paint was splattered on most of the surfaces, there were sunflower seed shells on the new carpet, and the tub was filthy with hair and some red substance. The staff was very rude when we bought this to their attention so we cleaned up their mess ourselves. A hive of bees lives in our wall which makes it impossible to use our balcony (the balcony was a major selling point for us.) They are aware that there are many hives around the entire complex posing a threat to the residents. The complex has never made any real effort to fix this problem. We have had two vandalism incidents in three weeks. There is one volunteer security patrolman that is overwhelmed with the large number of incidents. He has told me that cars are stolen from this complex on a regular basis. We are relocating because of this.
