Apartment Review for Mediterranean Garden Apartments - Albuquerque, NM

These are now the Canyon Vista apartments. Seemed ok when we were given a tour. First of all, the manager thought we wanted a one bedroom when we asked for a two. So when he called us to tell us it was ready to move in, it was the wrong size! Then, because we needed a place immediately, he had to scramble to find us the right size. He told us they would rush the clean up of a two bedroom for us. We moved in and the carpets looked like they hadn't been cleaned, the vent cover was missing from the bathroom, cabinet doors and drawers were falling off not to mention the cheap white paint was chipping off. The balcony screen door fell off, was repaired, then fell off again. The window screens are gone on quite a few apartments including ours. We have had at least three power outages in the last few weeks, then the air conditioner breaks and it takes at least a couple of days to fix. We had to shut the water off in our bathroom sink because the pipe was leaking and flooded the cabinet underneath. When we called maintenence we were put on a "waiting list." Speaking off the water, it takes me at least three tries in the morning to get the water to stay on in the shower. The water will shut off by itself! Then when it finally does come on, half the time we don't have hot water. The laundry room is a joke. When the washers are actually working, we are charged $1.00 to $1.50. One day I happened to check another building and they only pay 75 cents! If I had the money I would have broken my lease a long time ago.
