Apartment Review for Las Brisas Pool Side Apartments - Albuquerque, NM

This place is disgusting, in the WORST part of Albuquerque, known by locals as the WARZONE. I was intrigued by Las Brisas by finding it online, with nice pictures of a cozy "poolside" dwelling... WELL... what Las Brisas management failed to enclose to me on the phone that Las Brisas is in a very UNSAFE neighborhood, and that the majority of the tenants are on Section 8. Homeless walk the streets outside the gate (which harly functions) and there is a mini mart actross the street off San Pedro which also encompasses some very scary individuals. On my first day there I was frightened and asked if I could get out of my lease because a mistake had been made, and full disclosures were not made to me about the full extent of the apartment. The manager said no, and that there was no recision period... which I found quite odd. The apartment inside is old, with the same stove from 1975, dusty and dirty mini blinds in the bedroom that have to be at least 15-20 years old. Electrical sockets which don't hold in the appliance which makes about half of them inoperative. A heater that didn't work in the cold of winter and an air conditioner that didn't work in the sweltering heat of summer. An absolute dump, I encourage you to not rent here and for what they charge, you can find yourself a nice one bedroom in a much nicer part of town for the same pride. Good luck.
