Apartment Review for Adams Apartments - Albuquerque, NM

I don't know what the other reviewer was smoking, but these apartments had some major problems. The management was completely incompetent. I never received my deposit check back after moving out after numerous attempts at contact. Apparently, the management changed locations.

I would ask for work to be done, and it would never be done. I finally submitted a written work order citing the rental agreement, and all that was done to fix a major leak in the swamp cooler hosing was to disconnect the hose.

The stucco was falling off the outisde walls, and the buildings themselves were about ready to fall apart. Doors had bad seals, the windows were cracked and usually painted shut, the ventilation systems were filthy and smelled bad. The thermostats were sketchy and innacurate.

My unit came with a garage. The garage was a dump. The door barely operated, a large door spring broke off the door and it fell on me one day, and the garages themselves are located in a back alley rife with criminal activity. New graffitti would appear every weekend, and I saw several gangs wandering the area. Transients would fish through the trash and sleep back there. People would leave trashy possibly stolen cars in the area. Several cars were vandalized during my residence.

The grounds were kept fairly well, but this only speaking of the grass yards. The back yards were overgrown and filled with garbage. The rent cost was acceptable for the space.

These apartments have great potential, but the management was terrible, and the things should have been done were not done. The complex was not well cared for and as a result became an attractive area for criminals. I would not recommend living in this complex.
